Build your first useful voice agent
Start with one job, one trusted source of information and a clear definition of success.
Choose one job
Write down who the agent serves and the question it should help answer. A focused service-information agent is easier to evaluate than an agent expected to handle everything.
Prepare approved knowledge
Use current business information. Remove secrets and unnecessary personal data. Define what the agent should say when an answer is missing.
Set the conversation path
Configure the greeting, instructions and relevant skills or flow. Include an explicit route for requests outside the agent’s scope.
Test before connecting
Try ordinary questions, interruptions, ambiguous wording and out-of-scope requests in preview. Review the answers with your service team before a phone pilot.
